Thomas and Lindsay Becker and family—Germany

Thomas grew up in a Christian home in Germany and made a profession of faith at the age of 15, believing he could lose his salvation. After moving to Canada, he was challenged on the security of the believer by a student from Canadian Baptist Bible, and after nine months of studying the topic in his Bible, Thomas realized that Jesus had paid for ALL of his sin and there was nothing for him to do but fully trust in Christ for his salvation, and he did that in that moment.

Lindsay also grew up in a Christian home, attending church and hearing the Gospel preached and taught her whole life. She made a profession of faith at a young age, but during a conference in November of 2010, Lindsay realized that she was not truly saved. After the service, knowing all the Scripture verses, and with help from her sister-in-law, Lindsay repented and asked the Lord to save her soul!

Shortly after Thomas got saved, he began attending Pembina Valley Baptist Church. Upon attending his first missions conference, the guest speaker, Dr Gene Burge mentioned the annual European Retreat that takes place in Germany and Thomas's interest was stirred. Dr. Burge shared how he and his wife had been praying for some of the German immigrants to be trained here and return to Germany to reach their people. Immediately the Lord smote Thomas' heart and he knew that God had called him. Because Thomas did not want to return to Germany, he did not surrender immediately. After graduating from Canadian Baptist Bible College, Thomas took some time to seriously pray and fast, received counsel from Pastor Sullivant, and finally submitted to the call. In 2024, the Beckers took a survey trip to Germany and they are currently on deputation to go to Germany.
